Aortyx participated in the second edition of the IQS Tech Fest, organized by IQS Tech Factory at the Damm Factory in Barcelona. This festival is a European meeting point for the next generation of industrial startups. Aortyx presented at the Investment Forum and held meetings with a number of angel investors, and used the opportunity to interact with other startups in similar development points.

The JP Morgan Healthcare conference is the most important networking event for biotech and medtech companies. Started in 2008, the event, held at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square, brings more than 3,500 decision makers from more than 2,000 biotech, financial, and pharma companies to network and share insights on industry trends through plenary sessions, fireside chats, and panels.

Aortyx was present, thanks to the support of FIPSE’s International Acceleration Program, to interact with a number of stakeholders. Dr. Jordi Martorell attended to more than 30 meetings in 3 exciting days with investors, business developers, clinical manufacturing organizations and clinical research organizations. As a result, the roadmap from prototype to market was polished and adapted to the highest standards and the team was ready to start the Seed Round.

The Barcelona Healthcare Investment Forum is a meeting point for Biotech and Medtech entrepreneurs and investors, hosted by the Official Medical Association from Barcelona (COMB). After more than 20 editions, this forum has positioned itself as a benchmark in the Catalan biomedical ecosystem, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among the medical community.

Aortyx presented for the first time to a broad audience who was excited to learn about the technology. Many meetings with potential investors and industrial partner have succeeded the presentation, with new to come from those meetings in 2019.
