PhD in Chemical Engineering and specialized in Biomedical Engineering. He is the Head of Vascular Engineering and Applied Medicine and assistant professor at IQS School of Engineering. Jordi has been focused on vascular biology for more than ten years at MIT and IQS. He has collaborated with medical device companies to improve the design of coronary stents and arterial valves.

His research on industrial polymers pivoted in 2005 to intelligent biomaterials. His portfolio of human applications includes tissue regeneration, nanoparticles or synthetic vectors for drug or gene delivery.

She has designed and developed vascular cell-culture devices, a diagnostic imaging protocol and an image analysis software for mice aneurysms, and an aortic protein knowledge database. Dr. López has performed animal studies and participated in technology transfer initiatives.
